Having joined the programme in early 2024, our latest Rail Safe Friendly report (January 2025 – January 2026) highlights key achievements, including:

  • 8,272 young people educated on rail safety
  • 100% of target schools reached, engaging 10 primary and secondary schools across Scotland and England

Since joining the programme, Forte Engineering has delivered rail safety education to more than 12,500 young people nationwide.

Paula Riddell, Director at Forte Engineering, said: “We’re proud of the impact this partnership has delivered and look forward to reaching even more young people with vital rail safety education throughout 2026.”

Stuart Heaton, Managing Director and Founder of Learn Live and Rail Safe Friendly commented: “It is fantastic to see the number of young people educated about rail safety, thanks to Forte Engineering's commitment and support. We are delighted that Forte Engineering is a proud supporter of the Rail Safe Friendly programme, demonstrating the rail industry’s collective commitment to making railway safety education accessible to young people across the country. With the support of organisations like Forte Engineering, we can continue our mission to protect young people from the dangers of railway trespass. Through their ongoing support, alongside the dedication of educators nationwide, Rail Safe Friendly continues to grow, delivering life-saving rail safety information directly into classrooms.”

These results reflect our wider commitment to safety, sustainability and responsible business practices, ensuring that our work delivers lasting benefits not only to clients and infrastructure networks, but also to the communities it serves.
